Why Lift?
Our church has become increasingly focused on making a difference in our community. Our outreaches, events and overall aim seemed to revolve around raising up the people in our community. That includes lifting the fallen and challenging those standing to climb higher. We’ve always had a real desire to see Jesus exalted and lifted up in worship and praise. Raising people up and exalting the Lord Jesus is what we’re all about . LIFT is not just a name, it’s our mission. As a part of that mission we have a 5 year plan in place to see things “lift” around here.
1. Ministry Room Upgrades
Build closet space in the upstairs classrooms for Sunday School, Missionettes, Royal Rangers, discipleship etc. (3-9 months.)
2. Build Guest Center
On the west side of the church offices we will build a coffee/meeting room in order for staff and leadership to meet with guests and those who brought them after services. (within 12 months)
3. Pay Off Mortgage
During the process of fulfilling the vision, we will retire the debt of $31,350.00 remaining on the church mortgage. (ASAP)
4. Add to Pastoral Team
Raising up or bringing in new members of the pastoral leadership team to help us launch new worship campuses in the greater Venice area and beyond. (9-18 months)
5. Visual/Audio Upgrades
Advancement and upgrade in video, lighting, audio equipment to enable us to better provide teaching for satellites and extension campuses. (9-18 months)
6. Ministry/College Training
We will become an extension campus of Central Bible College offering a fully accredited Associate Degree in Bible and Church Ministry. (Fall 2010)
7. Satellite Campus
Using a Campus Pastor, along with a Worship and Ministry Team, we will launch a satellite campus with video teaching from the main service here. (12-24 months)
8. Upgrade Transportation
We will replace existing vans with better vehicles to be used by children, youth and adult ministries for outings and church activities. (12-24 months)
9. Church Plant
We will plant a church by sending out families with a Pastor. We will provide funding for a set amount of time, with the plan of that church being self-sustaining and self-governing while remaining in a Kingdom relationship with this church body. (32-42 months)
